Swedish Therapeutic Massage

Swedish Therapeutic Massage begins with long, gliding strokes to warm up the muscle tissue from the neck down to the base of the spine. When massaging the limbs, all strokes move toward the heart to aid blood and lymphatic flow.

Swedish massage increases circulation and helps remove toxins from muscle and surrounding the nerve tissue. This helps to promote relaxation and reduces emotional and physical stress. Swedish massage will occasionally stretch the muscles, tendons and ligaments allowing greater flexible in muscles and joints. Always inform the massage therapist if they applying too much pressure resulting in pain.

CranioSacral

CranioSacral therapy is a gentle form of healing that assists the body’s natural ability to heal itself. A craniosacral treatment is performed as the client is lying on their back, fully clothed. The therapist lightly places their hands on your body to listen with their hands a pulsing rhythm. This will most likely cause you to become very relaxed. The benefits of subsequent treatments promote a release of tension that often reflects into day to day life. Craniosacral treatments positively affect bodily aches and pains, chronic disease, emotional or psychological disorders and helps to develop a healthy well-being and vitality.

Some of the conditions successfully worked with are: Arthritis, Asthma, Autism, Back pain, Birth trauma, Bronchitis, Cerebral Palsy, Colic, Depression, Digestive problems, Drug withdrawal, Dyslexia, Exhaustion, Fall or injury, Frozen shoulder, Hormonal imbalances, Hyperactivity, Immune system disorders, Insomnia, Lethargy, Menstrual pain, PMS, Migraine, Post-operative conditions, Problems during and after pregnancy, Sciatica, Sinusitis, Spinal curvatures, Sports injuries, Stress related illnesses, Tinnitus and middle ear problems, TMJ (jaw) disorders, Visual disturbances, Whiplash injuries.

Lymphatic

Lymphatic massage is a gentle and relaxing, that increases the production of white blood cells and stimulates the immune system.

The body’s immune function is a vital component to our health. The lymphatic system consists of the thymus, tonsils, spleen, adenoids, hundreds of lymph nodes, and a multitude of vessels that run throughout the body, much like our circulatory system.

Lymphatic vessels carry a clear fluid that circulates around the body’s tissues, absorbing fluid, waste products, dead cells, bacteria, viruses, fats, and proteins from the tissue as it goes. Lymph nodes are throughout the body filtering the lymph fluid and removing damaging elements they’ve picked up along the way, such as bacteria and cancer cells. When the lymph nodes detect these foreign elements in the fluid, they begin producing additional infection fighting white blood cells, and become enlarged in the process, hence a swollen gland.

Conditions when a Lymphatic massage could help are: Anxiety, insomnia, sinus congestion, poor circulation, stress, recent illness or infection, exposure to toxins, depression, acne, poor immune response, poor production of white blood cells, swelling due to injury or post surgery.

It is always very important to drink 8-10 glasses of water each day, watch your salt intake, and to get up and move. Being active helps the body to function to its greatest capacity.

Reiki

The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words, Rei which means “God-Consciousness, God’s Wisdom or the Higher Power” and Ki means “life force energy”. Reiki is “spiritually guided life force energy”

Reiki is a technique for stress reduction and relaxation that promotes healing. By the laying on hands that “life force energy” flows through us. If one’s “life force energy” is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy. Life energy plays an important role in everything we do.

Reiki is spiritual in nature, it is not a religion. It is life energy that is guided by the Higher Power. Reiki is not dependent on a belief at all and will work whether you believe in it or not. This is because Reiki comes from God.
